Meryl Streep Graces the Manhattan Penthouse

It's a fact of life that some days are more exciting than others. Luckily for us, we get to be apart of an astonishing amount of exciting days. No matter how many events we throw, it's always special to see the amount of joy and happiness contained within our two venues. To be able to witness such joy naturally rubs off on us, and keeps us smiling even on those New York City days when the rain is pouring down (like today!).

Another perk of the job is getting to host celebrities from around the world. We've had politicians, movie stars, writers, talk show hosts, designers, musicians, athletes; you name it, we've probably hosted it. 

But some people get us more excited than others. One of those people is the immensely talented and always gracious Meryl Streep. We had the honor of hosting Ms. Streep this past week during the Friends of Writers Spring Gala event. They also brought along the well-known actor Bill Irwin. Both Streep and Irwin delighted the crowd (and us!) by reading an array of poetry. It was a special night, and we're so thrilled to have been able to host it.
