The Only NYC Venue Review You'll Ever Need to See

People love reviews. Everywhere you look on the internet these days, reviews of different venues and businesses are popping up. This is especially true in major markets like New York City, where everyone has undergone a major medical alteration and had their cell phones surgically attached to their brain stems. 

Well alright, that last part isn't totally true. But it may be in the near future. And that's totally fine by us! No matter where you look, Manhattan Penthouse and Alger House have shining reviews. Whether it's our 5-star reviews on Wedding Channel, our 4.8 (out of 5) rating on Wedding Wire, or the countless side-bar posts by happy patrons on our Facebook page, people just love to tell us how much they love us! 

Often times, some of the nicest reviews we get are outside of the public eye. Whether its via email, phone call, or even a hand-written letter, many of the off-line reviews we get are even better than the online ones. Today, we wish to share a special review from a special client. 

This past Sunday, we partnered in presenting the Charity Poker Showdown to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training for the upcoming Lavaman Triathlon. The team member in charge of coordinating the event was Mary-Theresa, and what a great job she did. If her training work-ethic is anything like her event-planning one, she's sure to finish the race in fantastic time. She did a wonderful job putting on a great event, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. After the cards had been dealt for the last time, Mary-Theresa found some time to send us a quick email. Here's what she had to say:

I wanted to send a note to say a great big THANK YOU for partnering with us on this program. It was a MAJOR success. After all our expenses, we think we raised over $7K for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (could be more, we are still adding everything up). 

Words can not express how thankful we are for your generosity and willingness to host us. Glen and his staff were a DREAM. Anything we needed, any help we needed they were there. It was unbelievable that they were so willing to help any way they could. As a professional event planner, I've worked with vendors I'm paying thousands of dollars to who were less willing to work. It made the whole night that much better. Thank you thank you thank you!     ---Mary-Theresa
